Project Management

Our project managers are the guys who remove the stress from your shoulders and solve any challenges on projects. They take full responsibility for delivering the project, pulling all the team members together to make sure it is delivered right first time and on time. They are sticklers for deadlines, expert planners and superb co-ordinators. With more people than ever before involved in AV solutions it’s a critical skill.

Rack Build

Rarely seen away from the workshop, the rack build team fit the equipment into the racks and install all the internal wiring. Although the rack usually lives in a dark cupboard, getting this right is critical to both the initial commissioning of a system and the ongoing maintenance. If a cable is mis-labelled it can result in difficulty tracing a fault and in the event of a failure, incorrect installation can mean additional downtime. Fortunately, the rack build team’s expertise prevents such problems arising.

Installation is carried out on audio visual projects once the Reflex Project Manager has the final design agreed. The Reflex Project Manager and installation teams liaise with any trades and other third parties on-site such as architects, consultants and main contractors, throughout the entire process.

At the end of the project Reflex provide handover and commissioning, training and manuals to ensure the best out of the investment.

All the Reflex Installation Team are highly experienced and safety conscious professionals trained through the following associated schemes:

  • CHAS – The Contractors Health and Safety Association
  • CSCS – Construction Skills Certificate Scheme
  • IPAF – International Powered Access Federation
  • PASMA – Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers’ Association

Control System Programming

Our full-time employed programming team, certified with all the main control system manufacturers, has the task of designing the user interface and writing the code that makes a complex system simple to use. To quote our technical manager “if a touch panel needs a user guide, then you need to start again.” With their years of experience, our team of programmers are gurus in areas such as videoconferencing, IP technologies, and audio optimisation to name but a few.

There is a lot more to audio commissioning than making a room sound good. Our highly-trained and experienced commissioning engineers carry out a variety of activities, which require highly developed technical and communication skills. The role involves:

  • liaising with the client on-site
  • issuing the project manager with daily updates
  • working with the client’s technical team (IT Support/AV Support)
  • performing FAT and SAT testing (Factory Acceptance test and Site Acceptance test)
  • audio DSP design and programming
  • creating relevant documentation, from network schedules to user guides
  • room equalization and microphone EQ
  • producing final, as-built, drawings
  • user training
  • ensuring a seamless customer handover
