Keep your table clear – hide the visualiser with WolfVision

WolfVision C-12/C-32 visualiser

WolfVision C-12/C-32 visualiser

The WolfVision C-12/C-32 visualiser is designed to revolutionise how you present in the boardroom, and improve video communications between offices.

It can be mounted on, or completely hidden in, a suspended ceiling keeping the speaker’s table or lectern free. There are no cables from the table to the ceiling and thanks to a very high depth of focus, you can present larger, higher objects, for example architectural diagrams.

The visualiser has flexible fittings, which means it can be mounted using any standard projector ceiling mount.

The product has WolfVision’s patented Synchronized Lightfield allowing easy and intuitive positioning of objects and is 100% reflection free. You’ll find every part of the recorded picture is perfectly illuminated and hollow or 3D objects are lit on the inside.

The C-12/C-32 has a host of other high specification features – visit the link here to see a 360-degree image of the product.

Broadcast gains importance at Reflex

Sony camera from ReflexWith our appointment as the top rated integrator under the AV Framework Agreement LOT 3 – Broadcast Systems, Broadcast technologies are a growing area for Reflex.  The growth is fueled by a high demand from recording material.

It’s also an area where 3D is becoming increasingly important. Within higher education, specific areas such as animation, film studies or computer modeling are a natural fit.  More than ever before, 3D allows a dovetailing of creativity and technology.

We currently have some great ‘Broadcast in a Box’ deals on 3D cameras and peripherals – click here for more information.

Broadcast will be one of the many technologies being showcased at TD11 in November. We’ll be running a ‘broadcast for non-broadcasters’ seminar, and a number of broadcast suppliers will be exhibiting, including Sony, Panasonic, JVC and NEC.

Reflex welcomes back Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy from ReflexAs part of our continuing strategy to build teams that are client focused, we are pleased to welcome Michael Murphy into the role of Service Engineering Advisor.  Many customers will already know Michael as he previously worked for us for 10 years in the position of field service engineer, leaving us earlier this year.

When this new position was created to extend the free of charge advisory service we offer to customers, Michael saw the opportunity to rejoin the team.

His 10 years’ experience will stand him in good stead, as Michael will be carrying out service calls and preventative maintenance visits. He’ll also be looking after customers with maintenance contracts, offering them technical advice and broader customer service.  He sees his key objectives as driving higher service levels for his customers.

According to Neale Redding, Service Manager at Reflex “Michael has built a good customer base at Reflex, and with his background is very well suited to take up the new role.”

18th and 21st century combine for Queen’s stunning new auditorium

Audio Visual technology in a lecture theatre environmentRenowned for its 18th-century architecture, Queens College Oxford’s new auditorium is unusual in that it is a modern glass wall, erected between two historically significant brick walls. As such, the site has listed status.

Mounted in a bespoke AV room is a ceiling mounted 7000 ANSI lumen projector that copes with high ambient light conditions. It’s from here that technicians control a lecture capture system.

The listed building restrictions meant that the projection screen could not be wall mounted and so a floor recess houses an electric rise and fall screen, which disappears from view when not required.

Two lecterns have been installed in the lecture theatre, one of which has a fitted interactive pen display for interactivity with the projected image.

The audio system includes full programme sound and speech reinforcement required.

A wall mounted LCD display in the Foyer has an in-built digital signage player and network PC. Whilst in the Green Room, an area for refreshments and for performers to change has an LCD screen wall-mounted showing any image from the lecture theatre.

Control of the system is via a Crestron Digital Media system, one of Crestron’s newest products and capable of High Definition audio and video distribution.
