Audio Visual Technology Day 2011 (TD11)

Visitors bowled over by TD11

Over 160 AV professionals from higher education, public sector and the corporate world journeyed to Lords Cricket Ground on 9th November for Reflex’s TD11. The audience was drawn by a programme of activities designed to inform and educate about the latest cutting edge technologies from all areas of AV.

Visitors browsed the 33 manufacturer hosted stands – with technologies as diverse as CCTV, broadcast and professional audio as well as the more mainstream projectors, display screens and interactive tools.  TD11 represented a unique opportunity for end users to speak directly to the manufacturers of the products they are using or considering using.

The event wasn’t just a showcase of technology though.  Five minute of fame slots gave exhibitors a chance for succinct demonstrations, and thought-provoking seminars on hot topics within AV drew the crowds.

As one visitor put it “It was inescapably interesting with some ‘Wow’ factor too!”

“Very interesting.  I’m seeing there are so many things you can actually do with video conferencing rather than just sit and look at the screen.”

Clive Dalzell of Oxford University

"excellent seminars, really good. I've got a lot out of them."

The day was really summed up by one visitor who exclaimed "It was inescapably interesting with some 'Wow' factor too!"
