Reflex Goes Green
Leading audio visual integrator and solutions provider Reflex is celebrating being officially classified as ‘green’, having gained ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard.
Reflex, based in Reading, has worked hard over the last year to adopt environmentally friendly practices which has lead to the standard being awarded. |

The ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard is an internationally accepted specification for managing the environmental impact of a companies products, activities and services.
In order to gain the standard, Reflex was required to plan environmental objectives and measurable targets, and then implement these. Despite already priding itself on its environmental policy, Reflex implemented a number of new activities, such as the responsible recycling of electrical equipment, energy saving wherever possible and employees now even take organic waste home for composting.
According to Claire Taylor, quality and environmental manager at Reflex; “With the impact our actions are having on the environment becoming an increasingly important issue across the globe, Reflex decided that this was an aspect of the business that needed to be reviewed. We are thrilled to have been awarded ISO14001 and it has had a positive impact on the company as a whole. Our aim is to further reduce our energy usage by 5% in the next year, making us highly energy efficient.

Reflex is accredited to internationally recognised Quality Management Standard BS EN ISO9001:2000.

Reflex is accredited by industry leading trade association Infocomm International as a Gold Certified Audio Visual Solutions Provider. This means that 75% of our customer facing staff are qualified as Certified Technology Specialists and that as a company we are committed to upholding the Code of Ethics complied by Infocomm International.

ISO14000
Reflex are currently going through the process of applying for the Environmental Standard ISO14000 and hope to achieve accreditation by the end of 2006.
ISO14001 – In June 2001 Reflex's environmental management system was audited by Bureau Veritas and we were recommended for BS EN ISO14001:2007, our certificate will be available shortly
TREEFLEX – Reflex have partnered with Carbon Managers to plant 50 English Broadleaf
trees to start reducing CO2 carbon emissions.
